Following the successful completion of the program\u2019s first three-year phase, MACN commissioned <strong>an international <\/strong><strong>consultancy<\/strong>, to conduct an independent audit assessing the program\u2019s impact, effectiveness, and overall progress.<\/p><p><strong>Audit Process &amp; Stakeholder Engagement-Sept 2024<br \/><\/strong>To ensure credibility and transparency, the auditors requested GCNP to identify at least four key stakeholders who had been actively involved in the program. These participants were selected based on their direct contributions and engagement with the initiative. Once identified, a structured interview schedule was developed and shared with both the stakeholders and auditors to facilitate a seamless review process.<\/p><p>A critical aspect of the audit was its independence, ensuring that the feedback collected was unbiased and candid. To maintain objectivity, GCNP did not participate in the interviews, allowing stakeholders to provide factual assessments of the program\u2019s implementation, challenges, and outcomes.<\/p><p><strong>Key Findings &amp; Impact<br \/><\/strong>The audit process was successfully completed, with all scheduled interviews conducted as planned. MACN\u2019s international team later shared the results with its Pakistan division, reporting highly positive feedback from stakeholders.<br \/>The evaluation highlighted several key achievements:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Strengthened Collective Action:<\/strong> The program successfully fostered collaboration among industry players, encouraging a unified approach to addressing corruption.<\/li><li><strong>Promotion of Ethical Practices:<\/strong> Stakeholders acknowledged improvements in transparency and ethical business conduct across the maritime sector.<\/li><li><strong>Addressing Systemic Challenges:<\/strong> The program helped identify and mitigate key regulatory and operational obstacles, contributing to a more structured and fair maritime industry.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Future Prospects &amp; Expansion<br \/><\/strong>The independent audit reinforced the effectiveness of MACN\u2019s initiatives in Pakistan, demonstrating the value of international collaboration in addressing corruption.
