For the past few decades, tech has excluded many of us and women have made up less than 25 percent of the hires over the past 20 years. That needs to change now if girls are to be part of an inclusive tech workforce. Tech is evolving. It’s no longer boys in Check shirts.
Girl2030 programme is led by young girls aged 17-24. It is focused on building leadership within individual girls first, including self-confidence, personal accountability and long-term aspirations.
Girl2030 will enable girls to hone their skills in research, community organising, goal setting, and effective communication and is designed to help them grow professionally and personally. As part of each Cohort, we will be connecting with Women Leaders in tech to share their stories on progressing Girls in tech through our monthly Podcasts & Webinars Series.
We’re looking for organisations to support Girl2030 through Mentorship, providing Internships and support in hosting Girl2030 events. Our Pathway Programme will create opportunities for girls who participate in this program to gain access to organisations that are championing girls’ progress in technology and create a pathway for employment or entrepreneurial opportunities.
