BEST PRACTICES SUSTAINABILITY AWARD

Keeping up with the tradition of recognizing the Companies with Best Practices in Living the Global Compact Principles for the last many consecutive years since 2012, Global Compact Network Pakistan announces the holding of the Best Practices Sustainability Award 2020 for Living the Global Compact Principles & Championing SDGs by seeking nomination from Companies intending to participate in this contest. Participating companies must be a signatory to UNGC Principles and a member of Global Compact Network Pakistan.

Intending companies must follow the following steps:

  • Step 1: Register their intention to participate in the Contest latest by 27th February 2021 by sending the linked CONSENT FORM at info@gcnp.org.pk.
  • Step 2: Submit their nomination for the Contest by filling the linked GCNP NOMINATION FORM.
  • Step 3: The Forms must be submitted complete in all respect along with a processing fee of Rs 25,000/- (Rupees Twenty five thousand only) through crossed cheque in favor of ‘EFP Global Compact Pakistan Local Network’ latest by 15th March 2021. The processing fee will include two complimentary invitation cards to company nominees.
  • Step 4: The nominations received from the contesting companies will be evaluated by a team of the national and international jury and the winning companies will be conferred with the award at the Business Sustainability Meeting to be held on 30th March 2021 at Hotel Marriot Karachi.

BUSINESS SUSTAINABILITY MOOT

This year the Global Compact Network Pakistan in collaboration with Employers’ Federation of Pakistan will convene the foremost corporate sustainability leaders to discuss and debate the values of the UN, the future of multilateralism and the role that principles-based business can play in driving progress on the Global Goals. Through a combination of inspiring plenary sessions, exhibitions, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities, and our annual Global Compact Business Sustainability Moot under this year’s theme “Linking SDGs with Local Business Goals: the SDGs Pakistan Summit ‘21” will feature innovative examples of how multi-stakeholder partnerships are unlocking new business opportunities and capital, while also driving impact on the ground.

Ms Sanda Ojiambo, CEO & Executive Director United Nations Global Compact, UNGC officials from New York, LN Representatives from Asia Pacific Region will join us Live in the session.

For the past 20 years, the UN Global Compact has been building a global movement of sustainable companies and stakeholders to create the world we want. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Annual General Meeting and elections for the Board of the Directors of the Global Compact Network Pakistan will also be held at the conclusion of the MEGA EVENT, details whereof will be circulated separately.

HOW TO PARTICIPATION IN THE MEGA EVENT

Individuals, professionals, practicing human right activists, environmentalists, civil society representatives, and company nominees may register themselves by sending their particulars to the EFP Secretariat at the email ID’s given below. The hospitality charge per participant to cover the cost of lunch, tea, materials, and participation certificate. The registered participants may obtain their registration cards of the event from the EFP Secretariat by paying the hospitality charges through crossed cheque in favor of “Employers’ Federation of Pakistan”.
