As an active member of UN Global Compact and the Global Compact Network Pakistan we appreciate your association and your efforts in embracing the ten principles of UN Global Compact as strong tools for sustainable development in the fast-changing global business environment.
As you are aware one of the requirements of UNGC membership is to send a Communication on Progress (COP) Report by business organizations and a Communication on Engagement (COE) Report by non-business organizations once a year conveying the activities and initiatives undertaken by members companies in implementing UNGC Principles and SDGs.
We however observe that some companies are finding it difficult to send their COP/COE in time as a result of which a number of companies have been placed in the status of non-communicating companies and some companies are facing the risk of expulsion because of the long delay in submission of COPs. One of the reasons could be that the company staff responsible for COP has changed and therefore the COPs are not been prepared and sent to UNGC in time.
In order to help companies in preparing their COPs/COEs Global Compact Network Pakistan is organizing a short training program exclusively for its member companies on complimentary basis on 7th March 2019 from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm at GCNP/EFP Secretariat located at: 2nd Floor, State Life Building 2 Wallace Road Off. I.I. Chundrigar Road, Karachi.
