As a special initiative of the UN Secretary General, United Nations Global Compact is a platform used today by over 9,930 companies in 161 countries to align their operations and strategies with ten principles of UNGC in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, environment and anti-corruption and the 17 SDG Goals 2030 adopted by the United Nations in order to attain Sustainable Business Development.
The Global Compact Network Pakistan, an affiliate of UNGC has convened this meeting of young entrepreneurs under the theme: “The Responsible Entrepreneurship Development” with a view to establish the SDG Entrepreneur HUB in Pakistan, a first outreach to the growing start up community is meant to activate future business leaders into Purpose Driven leaders and become early changemakers to develop and drive innovative solutions through new technologies, initiatives, and business models and deliver with greater impact by building in their company’s sustainability objectives from its inception.
SDG Entrepreneur HUB is designed to engage the startup company’s brightest and best talent as they grow in not only advancing their sustainability efforts but driving innovation and delivering tangible solutions with potential market value for their company.
The discussion during the meeting will center around working with the startup’s young entrepreneurial leadership in order to help them;
• Apply SDG innovation to solve real sustainability challenges within their industry
• Integrate the SDGs into their company’s business strategy through collaboration, innovation and knowledge sharing
• Increase employee engagement and professional development opportunities as they grow their company
• Develop into an expert network of leading professionals from some of the top companies across the globe gain global recognition for participation in the program
