In Conversation With Champions Leading on SDG 16 “Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions”

SDG 16 “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions” is important to promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development. The provision of access to justice for all and building effective accountable institutions at all levels is a challenge that we have to tackle individually and collectively. This will improve the resilience of civil society to thrive at the national level. During the webinar, the Speakers highlighted the contributions their institutions are making to empowering the unprivileged and deprived segments of the society to seek access to justice and social protection. They also discussed how SDG 16 can be used as an engine for progress and an enabler for all other goals. They also expressed the hope that by the end of 2030 the institutions will be strong enough to build inclusive societies in line with the targets of SDG 16.
